Momentum for Automobility: Unofficial Port

Momentum beta.2: a calmer speed display.

Momentum 1.0.0-beta.2 was released on October 4 for Minecraft 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3. The compact and legacy dashboards now keep small speed fluctuations from making the number flicker back and forth while cruising.

A display hovering around 55 and 56 settles instead of changing with every tiny fluctuation. Larger speed changes and stopping still update immediately. The number represents the car’s actual speed, and the filter resets when you change car or world.

This is an instrument improvement: driving physics, cruise control and fuel or battery use keep their existing behavior. Your saved settings and key bindings stay in place.

The new 26.3 build also includes the stopped-driver reminder to release the brake before pressing again to reverse. It stays out of the way for passengers, moving cars, hidden HUDs and open menus.

Use matching Automobility 1.0.0-beta.1 or newer and choose both files for the same Minecraft version. Install the matching gameplay mods on server and clients. Momentum remains optional; the 26.3 files do not establish P&P or Powerworks compatibility.
